America Needs to Grow Up

 
     What is going on in this country? Peaceful protests turn into riots where people began running around, attacking police, each other, and burning down anything that is in their way. Their reasoning? Police are killing innocent black people and things MUST change, and this is the best way to get the government's attention. Is this the truth though? Most of us don't believe this for a second.
     All of this started when four police officers in Minneapolis killed a black man (George Floyd) while making an arrest for passing a fake 20 dollar bill. Those four officers were all charged and have been fired from the force, of course. Yet that did not stop thousands from taking to the streets and protesting against ALL police, because obviously all police are killing minorities. This is an absolute lie. There are 800,000 police officers in this country, and if they were all killers, the death toll of black men in this country would be well over 1 million per year. There is a race problem here, but not what most people think.
     This movement all started with a group called Black Lives Matter, or BLM. By their name alone, they try to claim that the police don't care about black lives. They simply don't matter. So, BLM takes to the streets and encourages protesters to turn violent, especially against police. They also are calling on their minions to attack anything that THEY feel is racist. You know, statues of Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Christopher Colombus and even pancake syrups. And, if anyone dares say anything, well they are racist too. They are holding America hostage because Americans have become afraid. Don't be afraid, be emboldened!
     BLM is dead wrong. America as a country is NOT racist. Yes there are racists of all colors here (just as there are everywhere), but the majority are not racist. Not even close. Did we not elect a black man as president just 12 years ago, and then re-elected him 8 years ago? Did we become racist in the last 4 because BLM says Trump is racist? The racism that is happening right now is not from elite white Republicans, but is actually coming from the radical left. They are supporting this just to get Trump out of office!
     Listen, I am not a major fan of President Trump, but this is ridiculous. Some changes need to be done, sure. But defunding the police is a moronic answer to the problem, just as burning down businesses and attacking police was. There is no excuse for this at all. People are acting like small children, throwing temper tantrums because they don't get their way. And, just like children, they should not get what they want for acting this way. They should grow up. Protesting is one things, and legal if done legally, but NOT rioting.
     Now I know what's going to happen with this blog. I will be verbally attacked and called a racist because I am speaking out against this. So what. Let them come at me. I am simply being realistic about this. I am not a racist, and anyone who knows me knows that I am not. I do not however, apologize for slavery in the past, nor for the way black were treated. Why? I WAS NOT ALIVE THEN! My family came from Illinois, never owned slaves, and even fought for the Union in the Civil War. And yet I am supposed to have 'white guilt' over something that happened long ago. I too have the victim of racism. I was once punched in the face by a black man, just for being white. I did not know him, and had in fact never met him. I was mature enough to go after him, legally, and was never angry at the whole race. I was a grown up.
     In closing, here is a message to BLM. We have come a long way in this country, but yes, we still have a way to go. But that does not give you the right to do the things you are doing. You are a part of this country, and you need to grow up. If you want to talk things out, then let's sit down and talk things out. This is the greatest country to live in, and it is one that issues can always be resolved, if that what you really want. I just fear that what most really want, is not equality, but superiority, which is wrong no matter what color you are. "All men are created equal". Note the 'men' part, which means grown ups.

Obama's Biggest Mistake

       Why has the Obama administration fallen on such hard times as of late? I think the short and simple answer is arrogance. He has believed, and for good reason, that the media outlets other than Fox and Newsmaxx will support him and all his endeavors, no matter how many rights or people he steps on. As long as he left them alone that is. Which is exactly what he didn't do. He apparently didn't know how strongly the press feels about their freedoms, and when you attack any outlet, even Fox, they will circle the wagons quicker than John Wayne fighting apaches.

       Obama and his crew have been caught targeting right wing groups with the IRS, and now Holder started spying on a Fox reporter because he supposedly was leaking national security info, which of course turned out to be false. But because it was FOX, he figured the other new agencies would jump on board and proclaim that Fox was working with terrorists or something else sinister. He figured wrong, because instead, every news outlet is ready to burn Obama at the stake. News agencies see themselves as a brotherhood and will stick together no matter what, even if it is an annoying big brother that you can't stand to be around. Obama and Holder never dreamed that MSNBC, Huffington Post, CNN, NBC, CBS and ABC would call him, and I quote, "The worst president we have ever had."
       You see, if he had left FOX alone, he could have gotten away with just about anything, but now every little thing he does will be scrutinized for as long as he is in office. You think it won't last that long? A very popular Reagan was beat up in his second term for Iran Contra, and Clinton was hammered in his second term for Lewinskigate, and the press never let up. This is much worse in their eyes, and Obama's arrogance will not be forgiven, and the price could possibly be the senate next year as well as the White House in 2016, when it will start all over again. Common Sense does not run rampant in Washington D.C.

End of the Line

       It looks as if the end of the line for Eric Holder is finally upon us. The New York Times is reporting that sources close to President Obama are trying to convince him that keeping Holder is no longer a viable option. Holder is front and center of the latest scandals to hit the Obama White House, and the president is doing what any president from any party would do, throw an underling under the bus. They were able to get through the Fast and Furious scandal basically unscathed, but with new evidence coming to light that Holder may not have only known about the IRS and illegal wire taps on the media, but may have ordered them as well, Obama's only chance to save face is to ask for Holder to step down. The right wing media and even more surprisingly the Tea Party has said on more than one occasion there is no evidence that Obama was aware of anything illegal going on, and he would love to keep it that way.
       Something that Obama needs to consider, if Holder steps down and falls on his sword, much of this attention will stay on him and the only thing that would hurt the president would be the fact that he handpicked Holder. If Obama is guilty of something, he would have forced Holder to make a move by now, but by the slow actions shown, the White House is investigating on their own, and are not happy with what they're finding. The media has turned very quickly on Obama, but showing the world that it was really Holder doing the wiretaps might ease the pressure somewhat and bring the likes of Chris Matthews and Arriana Huffington but in good graces.
       The only thing that might change all of this is the fact that Obama can't run again and therefore doesn't care much what the media thinks. He has kind of always done things that he wants to do and not what the DNC wants, and quite frankly, I don't believe he cares much about the elections in 2016. If that's the case and he shows to be as loyal as Bush was to his people, he might force the Republicans hand to see how much of a spine they have and how far they will take this. Going all the way as far as charges or impeachment could easily backfire on the right and cost them a fairly good chance of retaking the White House and Senate. After watching all of this unfold over the last couple of weeks, and seeing how Obama has distanced himself more and more, Holder I believe is seeing his last days in Washington. For Obama, this is just common sense.

Who is at Fault?

The scandals that have been running rampant all month in Washington and have the Republicans giddy about a possible impeachment, shows just how bad our government really is. Most likely all presidents in modern memory have done things like spy on the media or encourage the IRS to target the opposing party, it's just that the Obama administration wasn't smart enough or more likely they are just so arrogant they thought they could get away with it. The Republicans though are just as much of the problem, let's face it, does Nixon and Bush ring a bell? It seems that neither party want to really stop this kind of activity, they just want to catch the other side doing it. The problem in the end all comes down to power and popularity. I hate to be a cynic, but where have all the good people gone that really want to help this country, no matter what party? If we were to hold these people responsible and fire them for not doing their jobs, things might change. The people in this country really do have the power, they have simply stopped caring enough and usually will vote for the person who spends the most money on a campaign. You see, we are at fault, and can't blame Obama or Bush until we act like the employers of this nation, and not little blind sheep being led off a cliff. Common Sense at its best.

War on Islam?

After the events on 9/11 and now in Boston, politicians are actually sitting in their comfortable offices in their make-believe world and finally asking why do the extremists in the Islam world hate us? Yet they still shy away from saying we are at war with them. What they fail to realize, and therefore have no common sense, is that the Muslim radicals HAVE declared war on us, it doesn't matter if we have our heads in the sand. We must stop this from happening now, or it will continue to get worse. They must stop playing up to these people and placating to them because they are all about love. The Koran says that Sharia must come before man's law, just as the Bible says God's law comes first. However, the Bible tells us to follow man's law as long as it does not cross God, which includes the right to believe how we choose. The Koran says if you are not Muslim, you must die, period. This is reality, the world we live in. Neither party in our great country has seen this yet. President Bush after 9/11 went to Saudi Arabia and held hands with the prince, who holds the belief that women are property and Israel is a blight on society. President Obama comes into office and places a member of the Muslim Brotherhood as one of our highest ranking members in the NSA. Later, this man was caught stealing documents by the FBI, yet Obama does nothing and let's the man keep his post, where he still is. Both parties would rather put our lives in danger rather than protect us, just so we don't offend them. Now I don't have the answers, I am not a politician or military man, but I have enough sense to know that one life lost to terror on our soil is a failure by our government to do their jobs. We as Americans need to stand up and realize we have a voice and force the government to do something, anything, to stop this. Not committees or hearings or media leading the way with investigating, but true leaders who will protect us and stop this before they do it. Muslims don't want to talk to or compromise with us, and we are strong enough to stop them, so please, get your heads out of the sand and stop this before one more senseless life is lost.
